The London Olympics are a great cause for excitement and celebration but have you thought about how this major event might affect your own event? With hundreds of thousands of people attending fixtures and hospitality activity across greater London and the UK, the pressure on resources – for example, accommodation, equipment, catering, transport and skilled professionals – will be intense.

The 2012 Games take place between 27th July and 9th September, but with over 600 venues nationwide welcoming athletes for several months of pre-training, the truth is that if you’re thinking of hosting an event in the first three quarters of 2012, you’d be advised to start making plans right now.
